Germany’s Finest Property Technology
Agile und visionary.
Solid and reliable.
Our goal is to make the real estate industry more transparent and efficient by introducing genuinely digital processes. Getting there involves a balancing act: It means finding solutions that, on the one hand, will restore order to a chaotic jumble of documents and, on the other hand, will permit managing large quantities of data and developing truly digital workflows.
Bringing plenty of experience, a visionary mindset, a highly dedicated team and an outstanding network to the job, we have positioned ourselves as your best-of-class partner for every step of your sector-wide digitisation strategy.
Digitisation is always a joint effort. In terms of concept and technology. This is why Architrave initiates and encourages exchange and the development of standards within the real estate industry. This can take the form of collaboration in workshops of the “gif” real estate research society, strategic partnerships and the willingness to share know-how.
The commitment has already paid off: For the Real Estate Data Summit, we brought together eight of Germany’s leading asset managers to harmonise data formats and data exchanges.
Maurice Grassau has been active in international management since 1999. Working on the senior level for leading software vendors, he was responsible for the areas of international sales and business development.
He is regularly invited to give lectures and conduct workshops as an inspiring speaker and mastermind on digitisation issues.
Rainer Ohst is the company’s expert in the financial management area, having an international career path and demonstrable wealth of experience. A native of Wolfsburg, Rainer Ohst holds degrees in business economy and financial economy and worked for the European aerospace conglomerate Airbus in Bristol and Toulouse for 13 years.
In all previous positions, Ashley Smallwood has contributed significantly to the successful scaling of digital business models. Before joining Architrave, Smallwood was part of the senior management in Australia and China at the listed company REA Group, a Melbourne-based digital service provider for real estate portals, at the Australian digital company View.com and at the Berlin-based Scout24 Group, where he held the position as Vice President Operations.
Architrave was formed by Dr. Benjamin Staude and Maurice Grassau in 2012. Architrave was the first company in Germany to develop a data room that focuses exclusively on the real estate industry and that offers value-added across the entire property life cycle. The solution is subject to an ongoing evolution into an asset management platform that makes all building-related data available in the form of digital assets.
Architrave employs 110 staff in its offices in Berlin, Frankfurt am Main and Dresden. The company’s clients include more than 70 renowned asset managers in the German-speaking countries. They use the Architrave solution to manage more than 5,500 assets in a combined value of 100 billion euros. The revenue growth has been in the triple-digit range since the formation of the company. The company’s minority shareholders, BEOS AG , Union Investment and Deka Immobilien, act as strategic partners. Proptech1, which is the first German PropTech-focused Venture Capital fund, and BitStone Capital are also shareholders.
